14th Feb. Let see if Colin & the gov want to give us an early Valentines day present.
The only counter point is that the deadline was late December. If they were truly fed up, then they wouldn't have agreed to an "extension" to February and would have started to sell globally.
The underlying tone I'm picking up is that the consortium understandably have their priorities with the UK and it's population first and making money as a secondary. Definitely honourable in my view based on this virus and they are making a difference instead of money money money first over lives.
Hey ManinPink hope your sister in law gets better soon. I'm not sure of her symptoms however there are some post covid hospital clinics (especially in London) that patients can get referred to by their GP if they fit the criteria.
Snowking. Glad to see another medic here. Stay safe and keep up the great work you're doing!
I wouldn't be surprised if it was the Innova test. Just adding more to the disappointment
Looks like antigen test to me
Likely China. They need 11 million LFT and I don't recall any UK manufacturer yet having such a production power
I see where Walbrook is coming from but that's in relation to the consortium product which involves multiple parties.
However they could comment on the Visitect Antibody freely as it does not have the same stakeholders.
Colin could have at least updated on the Visitect antibody test (aka Mologic lateral flow antibody test) which is nothing to do with the consortium nor the gov. This product to me appears to be better than the ABC one as it checks for 3 different types of antibodies so I don't understand why there is so much silence on this arm of the business.
The November RNS just said "The Company has just commenced sales of this professional-use rapid test through its distribution network and which is targeted at healthcare professionals."
I emailed Walbrook with a response of "oh we dont have any information"
All in all they are slow on commencing sales and hope they don't fall into the same trap they had with the ELISA tests or lack of.
Correction of my last paragraph:
Long story short I'm not expecting anything this side of the year* Things will start moving in the first few months of the new year. Keep on holding and don't worry about the SP for now (easier said than done)
I had another listen to the recent investor presentation and i recommend everyone worried to do the same.
Mologic TT transfer will be in the new year (unlikely for an early Xmas present)
Visitect antibody test is now being sold for professional use. This is also being tested in different countries and they are soon to report their findings whether they will want to place orders.
ABC antibody test is for surveillance when there is a mass vaccination
The ramp up of 2 million tests a week will be for the antigen test at first and then a transition to antibody as demand changes.
The investment they have done with more staff etc is in response to strong demand in the future. If they didn't have such an inkling, they would not do this. They are training staff now in time for the new year.

A few weeks ago the twitter army posted another picture of the ABC test and I noted there was a 3 month expiry from the date of manufacture.
Alert I have my skeptical hat on.
As a side point it's important to bear in mind that ODX MiGHT be ramping up to 2 million a week. This isn't set in stone. Colin definitely said in his presentation a few weeks ago that post new year the ramp up in manufacturing will depend on the environment. Of course we can speculate that they will ramp to the max but they might not ever reach that target.
Furthermore there is no need for those countries buying the vaccines to buy the ODX antibody test too. They might not even decide to use the test or may decide to use tests that scientists in their own country have created. There are clever scientists everywhere in the world.
Also to bear in mind that despite the vaccination program starting in the UK, I have yet to see any news of testing these vaccinated people with an antibody test post 2 doses. At this rate they might use the lab based tests as there will be no urgent need for a quick turnaround for results. Meh what do I know..not much..
Looks like good news.
The only alternative I can think of is where it can be used for home testing without MHRA approval and the cassette would be posted back to a central hub for result analysis.
But then again it is easier to have the test done at a covid testing centre under supervision and results are given there and then.
Thank you Davde and T0n1c too
Thank you sneakySimon
Just to check regarding the Mologic antigen test. I read a previous RNS that the mologic antigen test could be a saliva, blood or swab test. I know there were talks of a saliva antigen test on this board but over the weekend Professor Bell was on the bbc saying the issues with saliva testing and it seemed like it wasn't ideal especially if you've eaten. The ideal LFT test being an anterior nose swab. Do we know what type of antigen LFT test is being TT from Mologic?
I emailed the airline companies that are doing the covid testing from flights from the USA to UK in 3 stages. What we knew was that the 1st test was pre flight, 2nd is on the day, 3rd is at the destination at home. The first test was provided by Letsgetchecked, the second test was provided by Collinson.
I've got confirmation that the 3rd saliva test taken at home will be also be provided by Collinson. There is no mention of Mologic and from the brief research I have done, I can't see Collinson being affiliated with Mologic.
@nextyearrodders just block Zengah. Another one to add to the sea of green
silence isn't good but if you look at the reply from Paul @ Walbrook, it clearly states that there are lots of stakeholders that ODX need approval from to release any information for example abingdon, gov, MHRA. They can't release information just for the PI or to boost the SP as it has so many knock on effects/implications for the bigger players especially the gov. Their hands are tied. Imagine how frustrating it must be for CK and ODX from where they were to where they are now despite all the progress that has been made.
Basically odx would like to give updates but their hands are tied by the Abingdon, the government and the MHRA. Too many other people to get approvals to release the info as it has a knock on effect. Remember odx released a RNS only when the first 1 million orders were announced by Lord whatever his name was.
It must also be frustrating for them not being able to tell us any positive news to help the SP but things are moving behind the scenes. Patience is the key and only a matter of time. Don't worry about the derampers as they like to kick people when they're down and will be the first ones to change their tune when things turn for the better.
There is no success without pain. Like in the film Braveheart and William Wallace's quote "hold...hold....HOLD"
