That's a big problem with the "let it rip" strategy that the government has adopted in the meantime. More people infected = higher chance of mutation, surely? So the current "Covid for Christmas" government campaign is going to act as breeding ground for mutated covid. Great.

I have recently attended a BoE presentation and their planning assumption on the back of the vax news was recovery in Q1 2021 and economic activity pretty much back to normal in Q2 2021. I think it was incredibly optimistic. Even if we had a 90% effective vaccine right now, that's optimistic. And all we have is a newspaper headline about a 90% effective vaccine.

Markets might spend the rest of the year spiking in gay abandon, but come January, the hangover will start settling in.

Don't know about meds, but as far as chemicals go, EU regulators are a lot stricter than US. I remember being told that I can't post a bottle of leather shoe polish unless it goes in an environmental hazard container via a special courier, because it had 0.02% of some chemical banned in EU. Sold over the counter in USA without any issues.

I don't quite see what we have achieved in the last 4 months that couldn't have been achieved in under 60 days, considering the urgency of the situation. Company has funds - hire more staff or some competent advisors!
Also, allowing for the placing, the company has lost about 70% of its mcap compared to post Manic Monday peaks. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect some sort of an update from the CEO.

It's not RM's drive, commitment and passion that are being questioned - we appear to have had a very slow start and have only been slowing down since MM. And there is a wide range of factors that have contributed to that, but personally, I'd really like to find out how RM is going to address this issue. Sometimes you get unlucky, sometimes you feck up. But we need information on how that's going to be addressed and similar risks mitigated in the future. Otherwise we're set to miss the covid-20 pandemic too.
