Stockpiling should be the absolute backup play if you miss the pandemic. No governments are buying SNG right now, while the virus is ripping through the world, so expecting politicians to have some foresight (Ha!) to stock up on life-saving (how many have we saved so far?) SNG at £3k+ prices, despite every government in the world being close to bankrupt after covid is very optimistic. Possible (and might be even probable) if we actually manage to start selling it into the pandemic and everyone can see the effectiveness (and we need vax-level PR for that). But hopeless if it's sold after the pandemic is over. Might as well sell bomb shelters after the nuke has exploded.

RM should be repeating the same mantra day in day out - "Sales, Sales, Sales, Sales!" Not data, not research, not future possibilities, but hard Sales bringing in the cash.

Meelie - will they need further trials to prove broad spectrum effectiveness? Another £80m to fund? Same for COPD - I don't think our covid trial automatically grants us the COPD use as well (I might be wrong).
We need to get the cash flowing in and then the sky is the limit. Let the brains get excited about it, but RM's focus needs to be on cash. And covid is the only medium-tern potential cash driver.

Joey - yes, forgot about Polar. Others bailed and I don't think vax were the problem. Vax news arrived at the "wrong time" but the dump was on the way already. Anyone who read past the headlines would have not been concerned about vax. Not guys like VHCP.

I like to go back and analyse my game and I still think that holding Manic Monday and second 250 peak was the right decision... The real issue came when all of the large holders bailed. And I reckon they bailed when RM went to them to ask for cash and mentioned that we are not getting an EUA, have no progress on the home arm and (at the time, at least) no progress ramping up production. They ran from us like from the plague and that's what drove the SP down. Unfortunately, being humble PIs, we are the last ones to find out about anything - the dreaded "30" was an accidental slip from Holgate in an unrelated interview! So I do feel PIs have been shafted without lube, but the full information came up well after any investment decision was made. Would be daft to sell now, when the crash has already happened, but there will be a chance to sell at a moderate profit in the next couple of months and it will be a tough call to make.

Just to be clear, I still have my entire SNG holding - everything at 35p and top-ups at 220, 200, 180, 175, 110, 100, 90, 80 and I think we might just about manage to pull this one off, especially in light of the current "Covid for Christmas" government campaign (by the way, why not Hanukah or Diwali lol?), but it does not make the company shortcomings any sweeter.
