I was thinking about it today - perhaps somebody with trials background can reply - how does the data monitoring committee work? Do they review data on a case-by-case basis as they come in? Is it a regular, say fortnightly, committee meeting, or is it just an option to review the data early if recruitment is slow?

What I liked the most about the last interview (apart from Katie, obviously) was when buzz said "we are running all these trials to satisfy the regulatory requirements. They are different in different countries".
Not "get more data on whether SNG works" or "to find out how effective the treatment is", but "satisfy reg requirements" so we can start selling.
