Barrick gold I noticed in investments. Good company that one. I did well out of it in early 2016 for most that year when GBPCAD was over 2.1 .. cheap to buy and gold went on a roll for 8 months. Barrick is a solid company.
Everything that needs said (for me) has just been said perfectly in the last two posts by Shaz and Zan. If you are looking medium term (by that I mean a year or two minimum) then you might get some nice little dips (like now) to grow your holding for higher fiuture NAVs. In between, we will get traded. Marineville does.. it's not exclusive to him I would think.
because it's not always the case Arkey. Shares go up, shares go down, shares have spikes, shares have falls, shares have bullish and bearish prolonged periods. All we can do is make our choice, hope for the best timing, assess our risk and ignore the noise. If any situation changes in the meantime (maybe like yours) then you need to reevaluate.
On this anyone? So wiz mentioned earlier that Ascendant share price has pretty much halved since THC acquired their holding by selling 25% of Redcorp. But we acquired THC for 99k. Which included the whole Ascendant holding plus 900k euros.(lol) Does this bring the price down in MAFLs book value?
Ma5k I don’t think we are disputing wizard called lower price correctly. We are disputing the valuations which she has got wrong plenty before. And in addition - yeah she likes to tell us the LOWER prices she wants after she sold (again, a week after saying she was sitting tight for higher levels) .. but it’s funny she never tells us in advance of the higher prices that she bails at until afterwards. Then appears and proceeds to scare other holders- maybe like Arkey- who possibly don’t fancy more uncertainty- into selling. It’s just as bad as ramping in my book.
if you’ve got your eyes on the end game - like i know a fair few have that I speak to regular.. remember nothing had changed , in fact it’s just getting better. Weather the storms for more warmer climates :-)
Arkey you do what you need to do.. and make your own decisions, nobody is judging.. Don't make them because of what Wizard says..she has form for buying in after scare mongering people.
Yes, it's quite possible it may go down after such a rise. But she is already saying she wants back in lower.
Do what YOU need to do..
Nav, more payments, further selling results and resource expansion.. then the end game if all progresses well. This is the really interesting part. When Ascendant get to poking holes in this area- we could really see what’s what. 1.6km “Concurrent geophysical work has confirmed a strong 1.6 km long chargeability anomaly which includes the Main Massive Sulphide and Stockwork Zones. The Residual Bouguer Gravity Map that includes the Chargeability anomaly identifies numerous additional anomalies within Lagoa Salgada's property boundary”
It’s a huge hold shaz. And to think there was a certain person who once said MAFL would be lucky to get 500k for it. Imagine .. this asset for the price of a 3 bed semi in a major city. (lol MAFL paid less for it !)
Don't worry Hardy. MAFL is in a very good place right now. And NAV update should be landing very soon.
Re - value of asset. When Ascendant bought in for 25%, at this early stage and the previous asset known size.. it was this:
Initial 25% of Lagoa Salgada sold for US$2.45 million in cash and shares in Ascendant.
So, the value the placed on 25% made the whole of Redcorp (in their eyes at that stage) worth $9.8 million.
Remember Redcorp is owner of 80%.. MAFL retain (regardless of any futher buy ins) 20% outright of this asset not included in Redcorp's stake.
