bidnolid I think you’re right that many don’t quite understand the tech or what it does. I’d be lying if I said I understand completely, but I do have a bit of experience in server management (pretty basic looking after a couple of my own dedi boxes for business).. so “kind of” get my head around it.. I repeat kind of haha. But, it was an absolute steal the other day below 40p, I’d been checking the numbers out at the weekend, and looking at videos / contracts etc.. It was simply far too low and off the radar. News like yesterday’s will begin to change that. Happy to hold and see where it goes.
Maybe Trump will kick some action into it. Metals bouncing strong today after this tweet from Don. Had a very good telephone conversation with President Xi of China. We will be having an extended meeting next week at the G-20 in Japan. Our respective teams will begin talks prior to our meeting.
For me it’s a positive finish. Highest two volume days in nearly 12 months, broke above recent high of 50 ish pence, and held above closing positive (not down like many AIM spikes). Should get buyers appearing on any weakness now, I think.
Yes they have some nice little exposures to Gold now, and the price of Gold looks pretty strong just now. I would be surprised if this didn't continue with the possibility of held rates or even a cut in the USA.
This one, could end up being a really good investment, especially if they floated!!
"M&FI also has a small investment in Toro Gold Limited, a private gold producer in Senegal. It's 90% owned Mako mine has been in commercial production since 26 January 2018. For the first six months of 2018 Toro produced 62,900 oz. of gold, which was slightly ahead of its planned 58,250 oz production plan for the period. The cash cost for the initial 6 month production period was US$745/oz against the planned cash cost estimate of US$875/oz, at the time of investment. The lead investors in Toro are private equity funds that, the directors expect, will seek a monetization event in the near future. Whether this will be in the form of an outright sale, or market listing will be guided by opportunities and pricing."
And from recent update..
"Our small position in Toro Gold has benefited from a valuation lift. Toro recently completed a financing at GBP1.50 p/s, above our carrying value of GBP1.00 p/s. Additionally, Toro has posted its first full year of production and earnings - both were above guidance."
So book value has already jumped 50%.
