NASA reckon 4 inches rise in sea levels since 1993, 8 inches since 1900. Should I be alarmed - or is it a complicated Western conspiracy? The problem seems a bit like CO2, it's not just that it's getting higher, but that the rate of the increase itself is accelerating. Where will sea levels be by 2050? The projections dont look so good. Do you think they will be the same as now or different?

Thanks and a merry xmas to you. This bit "every single interview I conduct turns to our company's green policy" is especially optimistic and I hope the urgency to act increases with each generation, while those of us who refer to CO2 as "plant food" grow old and bow out. I am very keen on investing in the renewables sector, my caution is due to being too near to retirement to take many more losses.

Also Temple O'Doom is confirming the trust is gearing towards running without subsidy, so my case for averaging down is looking stronger already.

But as far as I can see there has only been one other 200 seat majority, by the Tories in 1924. This was followed by a hung parliament in 1929. Agreed, the current administration should be favourable to renewables but that doesn't mean we see a continued steady decline in the NAV. I dont fully understand the causes behind this decline, but it definitely erodes the benefits of a high yield.

Yes, this is true, and all their income will be taken as well. Tories would have implemented the care cap. Although that didn't include "hotel costs", it would still have meant people were either cleaned out a lot slower or left some residual money when they died. For ordinary homeowners, If you have money and you live long enough, care costs will destroy your wealth.
