Surely any trade has to start with someone whose got something and someone who wants it... thats what I meant by initiate, someone who either wants it or wants rid of it?

Don't hold any US shares, sold all my US funds a month ago in preparation to take money out of my SIPP. Made about 80% profit, so a bit luckier on that one.

There will always be an equal amount. I believe the difference is whether trades are initiated as buys or sells.

Well you have before and my reply has always been I wouldn't borrow money to buy shares. I asked why you never sell as you do nothing else but moan about lloyds shares and they reached multi year highs recently. I was quite open that I sold 25% of my holding on results day. I have mixed feelings about it as I missed the big rise, but at least I took some profits.

Selling 754,736 Shares on 7 March 2025 at a price of 72.46 pence per Share could mean anything, but suggests to me he thought the price looked "toppy". He also sold about ten per cent of that volume (75,300 ordinary shares) at 66.3633 pence each on February 21, 2025

Yes, I expect they would have to do exactly that. However, working in a pub is not going to service a mortgage they took out when they earned £75k per annum.

Im not sure why the big drop, but I doubt the disposal of 754,736 shares by lloyds sustainability director Andrew Walton has done much for confidence.

Remember, this is now a loan and must be repaid. It will be a lifeline to those who are able to return to work relatively quickly. For others who cant, my guess is a burgeoning debt will soon persuade them to surrender the keys. Lloyds mortgage book is reputed to be very good quality, so I am not expecting it to make a material difference anytime soon. But across the sector, SMI will inevitably be much less effective at halting repo's than when it was paid as a benefit, pre-2018.

I also rated Lloyds as excellent when dealing with my fathers PoA. Very helpful and efficient. By contrast, I would give Close Bros the opposite feedback, rude, mistrusting and uncooperative. Fortunately his main accounts are all at Lloyds.

I see sheepherder was a one day wonder. Their profile has been deleted and all of the posts they made on Tuesday have been removed. Some people are so desperate. It must be like making up an imaginary friend.

I skim read them, but sometimes the attempts to enforce emphasis through use of speech marks makes it too painful. I dont mind people that ramble, but trying to control the reader is a bit much. Particularly when the narrative is a long doom laden end of the world monologue. Just imagine what a birthday card from Chid would have as a message...

I thought the same then I realised of course its just an enormous coincidence that he has joined today made 14 posts on climate and politics drivel and said nothing about lloyds. The fact he instantly bonded with Bb is because (who would have thought) they share exactly the same values and an enormous coincidence all over again and nothing to do with BB getting desperate and inventing new IDs so he can big himself up. Nothing like that at all.
