52 week high of .79p needs to be broken first with some decent volume behind it and then fingers crossed its a 1p here we come !!

It will be interesting to see if there's any news from down under later tonight. The stock suddenly jumped from 12.30pm this afternoon and at one point was up 25% on the day on a few big buys after having a very quiet Tuesday morning.

All looking good, lets see what happens in the morning.

now we've got rid of the infamous 'aim spike' from a few days back !

Yep like clockwork, they're the ones behind the volume this morning, buying back stock. Makes perfect sense this morning after the stock was marked down a few pence in the blinking of an eye as soon as the market opened.

Mildly interesting to be honest but what's more interesting on this quiet day is the late trades reported !!

Wow Synic, I tip my hat to you ! That's a very well worded and constructed email but sadly I don't think you'll receive too much of a response, if any at all that is . I do hope I'm wrong but as everyone knows this trading exercise by GS has nothing to do with the ITV board, although the board will no doubt be fully aware of what's going on behind the scenes.

All the posts on the other chat forum are now clued up about the antics of GS and personally I can't see the stock trading down to those mid 50p levels again as there were some big buyers around last week and GS don't want any of that at all, especially as everyone can now see what they're up to, even to the extent of fleecing their own clients from 90p after issuing an upgrade to ITV shares from 88p to 96p just a few days earlier.

They've bought back some of their short this morning and I expect this will continue and personally I don't think a bid is too far away now as there seems to be a lot more 'talk' this week.

No need to sweat the small stuff here but equally I understand your frustration as well, lets hope the investor relations team at ITV can also offer us some degree of comfort although I suspect they will be largely silent.

So in the last five trading sessions we have had closing volume of 27m, 18m, 37m,34m and 28m. For the last two weeks ITV is now averaging approx. 25m shares traded and consistently in the top 10 of most traded companies in the FTSE.

And today once again ITV is in the top 5 of FTSE companies traded today.

Excellent day, huge volume again with over 8000 trades and top 5 FTSE stocks traded today.

Markets feel as though they are ready for a min-rally so that should help as well going forward.

And lets not forget that the stock has doubled since the lows of last week, so there will be a bit of profit taking sadly. But its all good, keeps the market happy and reduces the price spike a little :-

should be quite interesting, will GS call the stock down again to induce more fear ahead the numbers tomorrow before continuing to buy back their market short or will they carry on as yesterday and slowly throughout the day pick up stock ?
