Difficult to work out why the Market has marked the sp down today. Could be the cost base influences, although these are being addressed, e.g. investment in staff, or the absence of an interim dividend, which I felt was never on the cards anyway. Be interesting to see how this pans out over the next few days as brokers and IC update their forecasts.

I rarely buy or sell. However I can't justify, on any valuation basis, the highs to which the sp has gone, so today I've sold my entire holding.

I agess that exchange rates are an issue, as is the level of activity on the part of the OEMs with whom TRI trades. However I suspect that the bigger issue may be the uncertainty about TRI's next acquisition. The Board regularly stress their preference to make further acquisitions and until the next one is known I feel that some potential investors shy away. Personally I'm happy to be on-board and, like you, am looking forward to the annual results.

The message from today's news, following other tax disputers e.g. Vodafone, is that India is not yet a business-friendly environment.

A calculation based on the reported returns of the mature centres eventually applying to the entire estate, even allowing for an overall future modest decline in returns, points towards a target sp of at least 350p even before factoring in growth in the estate in 2015 and beyond.

My prediction: The results on 3 March will produce a number of increases in broker targets.

Whether or not customers remain, there is a three year indemnity period under the business interruption insurance so shareholders interests are fully protected.

Delighted to see that, at last, Credit Suisse have raised their sp target to 260p, which I first put as a figure on this site some months ago.

Excellent update today which proves Soco can prosper even if the oil price remains at its current level. OK the generous divi rate may reduce whilst the oil price is depressed however this is an E&P I intend to keep in my portfolio.

The newly appointed CEO has today shown she means business by removing the Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect. The RNS includes a well presented updated corporate information presentation which is, to my mind, an excellent example as to how to communicate with shareholders.

Just because we know of the USA situation doesn't mean that ship and boat owners in that country yet know. It will take several weeks for news to filter out to them, through trade associations, yacht clubs, magazines, etc., so I see several months of orders gradually coming forward.
