Pretty positive so remains a long-term holding.

With a NAV north of 100p, I'll remain invested here to enjoy the future sp appreciation.

Based on the recent trading update my estimate is that only about 50% of the arbitration award is currently included in the share price. That suggests something of a 130p per share increase if the full award was paid.
Lots of assumptions in my calculation so, as always, only my personal view and not something on which anyone, other than me, should base a trading decision.

Not sure we have the financial firepower for any significant acquisitions, so anticipate fund raising (rights issue?) later this year.

Looks like some investors have jumped the gun, given this morning's sp rise.

Report online in FT today provides evidence of Cairn’s intention to seize Indian assets to ensure full award is paid.

Apparently the decision can't be challenged, however the amount of the award could be.

When it's available, we will hopefully known the deadline for any appeal.

Greatly pleased that the Board continue to reject 'low ball' offers. Much prefer that the shareholders enjoy the run up to £2.5/3.0 over the next couple of years, rather than anyone else.

Looks as if the Market has pushed the sp down to make the bond more attractive. Suspect the sp will move up, once the bond is placed.

Thanks for the informativer comments. Edison have today indicated a sp target of 72p which should support buying in the Santa Rally.

Always struck me as an odd combination of businesses. Can help but feel that in the current environment, a joint bid by separate players in argicultural and engineering would allow both businesses to better flourish within larger groups. Will remain invested here and, in the meantime, enjoy the dividend.

Agreed. I wonder if we having a potential bid coming our way. Good cashflow and manageble debt, allied to strong long-term markets.
