Supercapacitor and energy management system specialist CAP-XX updated the market on its ongoing patent infringement case against Maxwell Technologies, now a subsidiary of Tesla, on Monday.

The AIM-traded firm said that on 15 December, the jury in the US District Court for the District of Delaware confirmed that CAP-XX's patents were invalid.

As a result, Maxwell was deemed to be free from infringing on the specified.

The verdict relieved Maxwell of any obligation to compensate CAP-XX for damages or acquire patent licensing rights.

"Whilst CAP-XX is disappointed with this decision, it is in discussions with its attorneys to agree the appropriate next steps," the board said in its statement.

"While the company cannot comment further at this time, we will provide an update in due course.

"Meanwhile, the company looks forward to proceeding with its current product range, supported by a strong portfolio of current IP, to focus on the key short-term actions to maximise sales and deliver profitability."

At 1358 GMT, shares in CAP-XX were down 57.21% at 0.73p.

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has recommended strengthening the ongoing oil, gas and coal exploration efforts, aiming to ensure uninterrupted supply of energy to the industries and other sectors.

The apex-trade body made the recommendation at the first meeting of its standing committee on the 'Power Energy and Utility Affairs' at its Motijheel office in the capital on Sunday.

While presiding over the meeting, FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam said that the uninterrupted supply of energy to the industries is a heartfelt and longstanding demand of the business community.

But, the supply of energy to the industrial belt was partly hampering due to some global crises. The increased production cost has also contributed to the increase in the prices of essential products, he said.

"We've been maintaining regular communication with the government on how to supply uninterrupted supply of power during the upcoming Sumner season," he maintained.

"There is no alternative to the uninterrupted supply of energy to the country's economy," he continued.

He has called upon the businessmen to come forward with recommendations for the development of the country's energy sector.

FBCCI Senior Vice-President Md Amin Helaly said that the country's energy sector has improved a lot over the last 15 years.

He stressed that government initiatives along with private sector participation and investment are vital for energy sector development.

FBCCI Director Mohammad Riyad Ali said there is no alternative to the exploration of oil, gas and coal in order to keep uninterrupted supply of energy to the industries and other sectors.

FBCCI Vice-President Md Munir Hossain and its Director Haji Hafez Haroon and former Director and Chairman of Max Group Engineer Golam Mohammad Alamgir were present, among others.

Through advanced coal-intensive technologies, the government is trying to keep coal alive and further expand the domestic use of imported LNG. The new IEPMP unreasonably assumes that domestic coal production will continue to increase by 2050. This is mainly for ammonia co-fired with coal and CCS technologies to clean coal. Overall, the freshly approved IEPMP seems to chalk out the coal transition from imported to domestic coal rather than transitioning from fossil fuel to renewable or clean energy. This indicates that the government is willing to start walking in the opposite direction of renewable energy targets.

To understand why Helium One is being highly spoke of (last night) by our rival, maintain a 20p buy rating at Liberium and are the best positioned Helium exploration company in the world you need to do some research into the sector as a whole. When you’ve done that, as most of us have, then you can return, apologise and say. I now get it. A minimum flow rate of 0.5 million cubic feet per day and as yet unquantified hydrogen give Helium One a tangible asset from which they can build off, the same as having the potential to rent out the rig. What other explorer has these things. I will give you this one for free, no one.

Why do you think Liberium is maintaining a conservative 20p price target, because Helium One is currently the number one pure helium explorer on account they currently have free flowing gas. So number 1 at this moment in time.

Whilst out and about this weekend I was able to consider my investment here. After a lot of analysis, I have not only decided to hold but on Monday I will add more.

The reasons for my positivity and optimisation are:

If a mid/major sized organisation discovered what we have in Tanzania, the buzz surrounding the discovery would be off the charts, and why not, there are no other free flowing helium/hydrogen discoveries in the world. There are discoveries yes, but extraction will be complicated.

The negativity seen here has nothing to do with the discovery/potential, even those of a negative persuasion will concede that.

It is to do with:

Hedge funds/Shorting crews on the attack, we can all see this being played out. New names and accounts everywhere, people so insistent on tabling negativity with nothing by way of fact. Why?

Disgruntled ex-investors, and to some extent I understand their bitterness.

You always attract a few that crave attention/have mental health issues.

Funds will be needed.

Want to get in at a lower price.

Impatient types more traders/gamblers than investors.

So, after considering a whole array of negatives I realise there is nothing to fear here, the discovery/acreage and company may turn out to be a life changing investment. You just need to be strong enough to ignore the noise and on that score I am.
