Mr. Chairman, today I have two things; First, I will explain a very important economic phenomenon that is going on in the Rukwa Lake basin. In 2019, the Government through the Ministry of Mines gave permission for the Noble Helium Company to come and conduct research in the Rukwa Lake basin. Lake Rukwa Basin includes Rukwa Region itself, parts of Katavi and Songwe.

Mr. Chairman, these have come and started their work in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 and the research they are continuing with them has brought great hope and now only from the initial research it seems that Tanzania is now the third country in the world for helium deposit which is a rare gas, is a critical material that is used in many places, as you know, I cannot mention, there are many places where helium gas is important.

Mr. Chairman, it is one of the most expensive gases in the world, so we like Tanzania through the Rukwa Lake basin, we have been very lucky to have a large deposit and they say that the helium inside the Rukwa Lake basin is green helium, it is purer than any one found in any part of the world. If you go to the United States who are leading and if you go to Qatar which is second and now Tanzania we will be third. Best helium is available in the basin of Lake Rukwa. (Applause)

Honorable Chairman, now in the area they were given to conduct research, there are approximately 1467 square kilometers. 167 square kilometers are in the reserve and the reserve is within Lake Rukwa of which 80% of Lake Rukwa is owned by Rukwa - Likwati and Uwanda Game Reserve, all of which own these areas. (Applause)

Mr. Chairman, now they started the initiative to request permission so that they would be allowed to go and do research in those areas, but the cycle they were given more than two years, they are going to go back. They were told the first time to do an environmental impact assessment, they engaged in the process, they gave their report, they sent the report to NEMC. NEMC inka-certify that there is no harm and the activity itself is done within one month. Later when they sent it back to you at TAWA they said no, go again to the Ministry of Mines and they will write to us.

Mr. Chairman, they have gone to the Ministry of Mines and there has been a lot of throwing of balls. We are going to get a big profit, we are going to increase the national income, we are going to get an income that if the installation is completed, we are going to bring in 100 million dollars every year, we are going to increase employment and many things are accompanied by the invention of this helium gas. Now this man has invested more than 30 million US dollars. He is given the cycles and right now he has rented big equipment that costs more than 100.5 million US dollars every month. (Applause)

If we discover enough helium and hydrogen, throughout the 3 basins the value of this discovery could be far beyond what normal metrics predict simply because helium/hydrogen produced from natural gas/coal has a limited lifespan, in its current guise.

According to the Financial Times, there are 5 trillion tons of natural hydrogen resources worldwide.[1] Most of this hydrogen is likely dispersed too widely to be economically recoverable, but the U.S. Geological Survey has reported that even a fractional recovery could meet global demand for hundreds of years. A discovery in Russia in 2008 suggests the possibility of extracting native hydrogen in geological environments.[citation needed] Resources have been identified in France,[12] Mali, the United States, and approximately a dozen other countries.[13]

An accumulation of natural hydrogen was discovered in a water well in Bourakébougou, Mali, that was exploited to power the nearby village.[14] As of August 2024, this remains the only operating hydrogen well in the world. Hydroma, the company responsible for identifying the resource, has since drilled 30 more exploration holes nearby. In 2023 Pironon and de Donato announced the discovery of a deposit they estimated to be some 46 million to 260 million metric tons (several years worth of 2020s production).[14] In 2024, a natural deposit of helium and hydrogen was discovered in Rukwa, Tanzania.[15], as well in Bulqizë, Albania.[16]

Of course the 168 figure is for the whole of the Rukwa Basin, strange you did not know that.

The fractured basement as highlighted on slide 9 of the African Summit held in London in May now appears to hold vast potential.

I now believe, following what has been found in the fractured basement the 138 BCF figure will be dramatically upgraded.

The global demand for Helium may soon come to an end following the successful progress by Helium One at its southern Rukwa project.

Speaking in an interview last week, Lorna Blaisse, Helium One’s Chief Executive Officer said “the Rukwa project is thought to have an Unrisked Prospective Recoverable Helium Resource at around 138 billion cubic feet (Bcf), making it potentially one of the largest known primary helium deposit in the world.”

The company holds 2,840km2 of prospecting licenses in three basins; Rukwa, Balangida and Eyasi projects of which its first phase of exploration began in 2021 and, most recently, the Company successfully flowed 4.7 percent helium concentration to surface from its Itumbula West-1 well.

“The high global demand for helium is highly attributed to by various factors including large industry growth sectors i.e. electronics and AI, as well as geopolitical tensions in country’s that are large helium producers. Therefore, these new developments in Tanzania signals a promise to the future of helium.” said Ms Blaisse.

The company said current global demand for helium gas is estimated to be around six billion cubic feet (Bcf) per annum. It is also expected to increase to 8.5Bcf by 2030.

Justus - wise to remind folk this is absolutely last chance saloon lest you forget the 0.018 bottom when they nearly folded end of last year. This might not work like all of the previous projects over last 4 yrs with deeply similar chances. To date not one ounce of helium has been recovered and not one penny in profit ever made! That is the reality here with many shareholders heavily under water to date who bought in on similar pumps. IMHO DYOR

If you are very, very lucky with fractured basements this can occur

While drilling the basement, the real time mud gas logging tool recorded high hydrogen and helium values within a zone associated with a large open fracture (see Figure 1). Analysis of gas captured in isotubes and isojars from the basement confirm the high levels of hydrogen as measured in the mud gas. This validates the model that the hydrogen and helium are likely sourced from the basement and that the fractured basement still contains significant concentrations of hydrogen and associated helium in the open fractures.

These results from Ramsay 1 and Ramsay 2 demonstrate that the reported historic hydrogen measurements can be replicated at multiple drill sites with modern drilling technology. They prove there are laterally extensive hydrogen and helium plays present at the location of the Ramsay Project, both in the shallow reservoirs and in the fractured basement in line with the predrill prospective resource assessment. Flow testing of the Ramsay 1 and Ramsay 2 wells will be required to establish the flow rates of both the hydrogen and the helium from the various zones.

Gold Hydrogen Managing Director, Neil McDonald further said:

“These initial results from our two wells are world class. While it's early days, these results position us on the path to achieving Australia’s first-ever natural hydrogen and helium project. We are eager to continue our exploration, driven by the potential for significant advancements in the energy sector.”

The first set of results were amazing and then we went into the basement

The Company has successfully re-entered and deepened the ITW-1 well a further 168m into the fractured Basement and has reached a new TD of 1129m MD. The existing hole conditions were very good and enabled the wellbore re-entry beneath the 9⅝" shoe, and subsequent deepening into the Basement, to occur efficiently.

Whilst deepening the well, near-continuous helium and hydrogen shows were encountered whilst drilling. The frequency of these shows continued to TD and were notably higher than those which were encountered whilst drilling the overburden section during Phase II.

Shareabel, by the same token when Tesla, valued back then in the 100's of billions and had not produced a car, were also worthless.

Massive pressure is going to be applied to helium producers going forward, obviously, apart from flaring, massive heat is needed to extract helium from natural gas.

The world needs green/natural helium sources and more than Tanzania has.

4. Conclusions
