I imagine the processing plant will produce pure helium in liquid form for transportation. That means we already have a head start.

Where people may have been confused is with the situation at Nobel. They have discovered helium, trapped in water and not free flowing, akin to a massive soda stream set up. So, a whole new and difficult set of problems there.

Blue Star Helium Limited (ASX:BNL) (Blue Star or the Company) provides an update on the JXSN#4 exploration well drilled on its Galactica prospect in Las Animas County, Colorado.

The well was successfully drilled to a final total depth (TD) of 1,043 feet on 27 September encountering both the upper and lower Lyons sands, which both flowed gas to surface.

Preliminary gas composition analysis shows 6.5% helium (He). Additional gas samples collected during operations will also be delivered to a second laboratory for composition analysis, which is expected to be returned within the next two weeks.

We have analysed the Colorado state production data for the Red Rocks development from private company Desert Eagle Operating. The development is in Las Animas county, on acreage surrounded by Blue Star Helium. Production commenced in February 2023 from a couple of wells and since then a further well has been added in October. Production rates had been fairly constant from the existing wells at ~400-500 mcf/d of raw gas with a high helium concentration of ~6%. The latest well, based on only 8 days of production data, has added a further 200 mcf/d of production. This has led to >40mcf/d of helium production or ~15mmcf on an annualised basis.
