Totally agree. I voted for him but now I can’t stand the man. But I do know he’s not shy about spending taxpayers money, so it’s best to have any cash invested while inflation is climbing.

I’m banking on Kier benefitting from Boris’ levelling up plan and the railways announcement. I’m not too confident on large sectors of the economy doing well, but infrastructure spending is one way Boris can be seen to be investing. Fingers crossed

I bought into SCT in late September and they’ve fallen every day since. Apologies, that’s what happens when I take the plunge on anything with a good upwards trend.

Gutted, I bought in at 293 and sold at 330 last week after it fell from 340. I thought it was heading back to 300 so took a quick 10% but now wish I’d stayed longer. Only saving grace is I bought into BP but still wish I’d stay. Good luck holders, I wish I had the funds to buy back in

From the RNS: “ Receipt of capital raise and Kier Living sale proceeds arriving in the final months of the year. Limited impact on average net debt”.
Not sure what the second part means, that’s the only part of the RNS I didn’t like. All the figures look good to me, and Davis and the team seem to have positioned The group well

I came back in today, but I doubt anyone would class it as a decent buy. I sold out a couple of months ago at almost the same price. Hoping for, and expecting a decent update from Kier

I feel the same optimism with hydrogen power. I made some lovely profits on CWR earlier this year, and have just bought into the HGEN fund. It’s newly launched but its easier than trying to keep up with the latest technology news. Alternative clean power sources will need to emerge if the west is serious on cutting carbon, and hydrogen does seem a viable alternative to batteries, possibly even a better choice. Worth a punt IMO

I’ve been holding Kier for over a year, and finally sold up today with 25% profit. At one time I was 60% down so it’s been a real roller coaster ride. The SP seems to have got stuck in mid 120s so I’ve swapped over to a couple of beaten-down miners. I’ll be back again in a couple of months, this is a company with great potential for tough economic times and I really like the team in charge, they’ve turned things around and I can see this doubling in the next year. Ex Londoner here, was up there on Sunday for the first time since lockdowns started. There were a few flooded areas, but nothing I haven’t seen before. I was more shocked by the increase in congestion due the the mayor’s car-free zones, which has forced all the vehicles onto main roads at a virtual standstill. London is definitely not car friendly, I’d think twice before driving again and paying for the privilege.

I remember the wise words of Geng, Tacet and Ceders from a few months ago, so I’m still expecting a lower entry point. Saying that, I did get some extra at 278 yesterday which pulled my average to under £3. Seemed rude not to. GLA
