Not expecting pullbacks is unrealistic. I'm more happy to buy the dips on the way up than to chase the tops. Main thing is to not let all your shares go too early.

I see BG as a bit of a maverick geologist. Full of good ideas but sees the operational/corporate side that leads to profit a bit boring/restrictive. Retail investors are clearly his piggie bank to live out his geological fantasies until he retires. If he was at the wheel in the last price crash what is stopping him repeating that? After all he holds minimal shares here.
