I get what you're saying nige but the way I look at it I've already made 2 lots of profit on itv so eithet way I can't really lose. I was in sbry for years waiting for a t/o following the collapsed Kuwaiti deal at £6 per share but none came, not even at well under £2 per share.
So for me , a takeover target is not a prime reason to hold a share. Atb

Another factor affecting sp and sells is the possible threat of more dilution. There is no guarantee that round 2 will produce a 2mt deal so if we move into round 3 , cb will not hesitate to raise to fund it and we all know a RI is not his favourite method.

There may or may not be a takeover. But unlike many on here I'm not waiting around for it whilst watching my investment bob up and down within a small range. Much simpler to just buy on the dips and sell on the highs making up to 10% each time. If you do happen to be out when an offer is made, you've probably already made the 30% or so premium a takeover will bring.
I reckon this will slide some more over next month or so in the run up to full year results and will be back in if it goes sub 110p.

Or even better, a temporary loan to enable the deal to go through, followed by a rights issue to repa said loan so that ordinary shareholders can benefit alongside the directors and their city mates

I keep seeing posts saying people should be patient but how patient should one have to be? A work colleague mentioned this share to me over 10 years ago with the added warning that it would be a slow burner but worth the wait. I don't think even he imagined over 10 years later we would still be years away from digging the first bucket of ore, assuming of course that a decision was forthcoming.
Thankfully I waited until c.5 years ago before dipping a toe in and my investment is not far off wiping it's face.
And yet over that 5 years the same few people have made the same positive, just around the corner noises year after year to no avail.
We have supposedly diversified out of one trick pony status but despite all the money pumped into other projects, it is obvious that for the foreseeable future the only one that matters is Kallak.
I like to think I sit somewhere in the the middle between suzy and lbjj but I do know that we can't keep on doing the same thing year after year and not expect the same result.
If someone could say to me definitely that once next year's election was out the way we would get the nod, I would happily wait that extra year and even endure further dilution. But who knows?
