Charles. What makes you think that the pandemic will end anytime soon. China. The most populous and ambitious country in the world , with at least one eye on global financial and military domination, introduces a new and potentially deadly virus to the world and stands by watching as the rest of the world destroys its economies in a blind panic.
If you were in that position would you not consider introducing a variant every 6 months or so to keep the blind panic and wealth destruction going?
Vaccines aren't saving us (says one who's already had 3). We need to accept that we should just get on with our lives and let the virus burn itself out. Trouble is the lily livered politicians and scientists won't let us.

On the contrary, I think many PIs would love to support the company in raising money to help get the CU. Who wouldn't want to buy at a 10 or 20% discount to current prices with no fees or spread? Chance would be a fine thing but as usual we will be frozen out.

Self fulfilling prophesy. The more new targets you find, the more you drill to see what's there, the more the need to raise funds.
In the absence of a jorc/AA agreement I fully expect to see another fundraise some time in the next few months. Not necessarily a bad thing for us shareholders. As long as we have sufficiently good assay news to push up the sp prior to a raise.
So far that hasn't happened and history with CB companies suggests timescales on regular income from JVs etc are prone to slippage.

Noted what you posted earlier re folks talking about rather than to another poster. I will try to do better although in fairness I have probably been your only acolyte in recent months against a sea of angry posters. Lol

Hi Eric. Not sure, but your post almost seems to link the government's new position on mining to Kurt's performance. Surely the change , due to a change in the government makeup, is more in part due to the pressure from majors and Sweden dropping down the international mining table.
I do agree with you though that we now seem to have much to be positive about.

You are right to be concerned at the current and decreasing SP, despite a shedliad of recent drill and assay results.
There is a pattern of this currently across the whole Bird stable, with the possible exception of JLP, although that is largely run by Leon Coetzer. One can't help wondering if this is due to a lack of trust in Bird and some disparity in much of the stable between stated and achieved goals.

Dorfan. This is so true. Unless you read the Mail or watch GB NEWS, you will rarely find views opposing or questioning the so called settled science, with the BBC, fearful of vague threats to its licence monopoly, acting as the chief propagandist.
South African health officials have repeatedly said that the variant had been around for a while now and is only causing a mild illness. Yet the government straightaway goes into overdrive imposing yet more restrictions on our freedoms.
I am vaccinated and boosted but I totally stand up for the right of others not to be forced to undergo vaccination. It is more and more evident that the non vaccinated are not the problem here. The virus is spreading through vaccinated people more and more.

Re takeover. Yeah you might think that as BMR was the gateway into Zambia for Jubilee from which they stand to make hundreds of millions profit, at the very least, they would stump up 15 to 20 million of said profits to pay off the long suffering and very screwed over BMR shareholders
