Completely agree missthepenny62 - I'm just shy of 40 million but don't feel worried.
GLALTH!
Bonzoo - thanks for what you said and Greetings from the RBD side of the line!
It defeats me how someone so plainly enthusiastic about a share is almost inevitably shot down in flames as being a P&D 'er or whatever
I guess they'll head to their previous areas Kazaak,Ukraine, maybe Uzbek areas and may even have done this set up to envelope something they have already got lined up. They could dump the CAV stuff if the bopd are true surely, but hopefully hang onto Corallian 8% wich I believe with the new parcels awarded last year will prove to be of significant value. GLA and here's hoping...
Oh yes, sorry. They used it to buy a minimum £80 million's worth of oil at $12 a barrel and 25% recovery rate... Soz
Chrishutch - please don't go, otherwwise us other hopeful types will drown in this tsunami of disappointment and middle class bile.
PDMS - allow a little bit of light to remain on this board please -so stop shooting down everyone that posits reasonable explanations for the way events have unfurled. I don't say this lightly as I currently own over .5% of RBD and am, like you, fed up with lack of news, MM's tricks, the endless lines of sellers and what it tells me of my own judgement in over exposure to one share too.
However if we go back to basic principles we have a massive amount of oil and gas in holes in WN, Parta and California that I am certain exceeds 5 x our current market cap ( a MC which is also knocking on for 50% cash). S&S have been successful in 6 out of 7 drills so far, and have stated their intent to sell off when appropriate.
Was it Buffett who said you shouldn't invest in stocks if you're uncomfortable watching shares drop 50%? Whatever, the fundamentals tell me that this is a very good management team creating massive (as yet unrecognised) value. What you I and others need to do is keep calm, stop bleating like wounded sheep and let them carry on. Then this value will unlock and the share price gains (AND dividends) will be, IMO, formidable - for II's and any remaining PI's.
My own target is not to do anything until end April 2020. Hell, it's not easy just now but I've been through it before and patience does work .
If you can't cope with sickening bouts of significant volatility, what on earth are you doing in AIM STOCKS, and in O&G Exploration sector???
Also, given the leak, 0.9 was brilliant as a getaway price on a 60% of MC type fundraise. You only have to look at Hurricane to see what a result S&S pulled out the bag.
Look folks, can we just agree that yes, we've lost some money these last few days and premature leaks didn't help, but essentially S&S have done what they had to do to get Reabold where they want it. Once the shares are listed we'll have a circa £65 million company (momentarily, no doubt) with coming up £30 million in cash plus some fantastic assets. What's not to like? Basic maths says as minimums 250mill NW, 100mill Parta 30mill Cali which is £380 mill. I.e. When these boats come in we'll be looking at minimum 6x value to MC. (And frankly the way these two are going more likely 8x to 10x.
So ...
Lets just trust the management.
I'm with you miker 444
S&S are some sharp cookies and my first reaction reading the RNS was a bloody good laugh - they know exactly what they're doing and to date haven't put a foot wrong.
Once all the quivering wimps are out, and the smoke's cleared, the battlefield will be ours.
So, I'm moving any decision re top slicing from January 2020 to end April+ 2020 .
'Trust these guys Rodney, and this time next year we'll be.....'.
If I remember the rather odd first LSE interview with Steven correctly, his comment was more along the lines of 'IF opportunities dried up they would shut down' - not they were set on it in 2 years or whatever.
What we're seeing is what we'll get - if the market's pricing abnormality of late stage/ pre cash flow projects carries on for 4 or 5 years more ten I reckon S&S will have built up a very lucrative, high yield business. A we have to do is keeping looking at the horizon whilst ignoring the road bumps.
Off topic: Why the hell are people getting so vicious over pro UJO or RBD.?It's like the more low-foreheaded short termers here and on the 'other side' can't just wish the party with whom we have a very substantial mutual interest in WN with, all the best, as in 'If it's good for you it's good for us'. Rant over and cheerio...
It HAS to be oil rather than a fundraise surely? I mean you wouldn't start a raise without getting the good news out there first...
It's either that, or they've been approached re T/O, investment...?
Always leave something for the next guy...
Older/Wiser.
Kind of witnessed that to date with various aim O&G shares, so yes agree the disconnect between SP and NPV's. HOWEVER, I believe RBDs readiness to monetize will force revaluation. I.e. Taking low balls on selling everything we'd go WN 200mill Colter 15mill Cali 45 mill Parta (all of the run room) 45 mill and you've got a 55MC Co with 300 mill cash:- theoretically. Besides what about deals we know nothing of yet. So I've done that silly thing and thought 'This time it really is different...'
Interesting discussion re the oil. My view for what it's worth and having listened a lot to what your man DB says is he's fundamentally a straight up decent guy is that the hole at WN IS a monster and all parties are having problems concealing their gleeful amazement. But that won't help sadly! The issue is that O&G AIM shares behaving as they do (total disconnect with underlying value of the asset) means neither SP for ujo or rbd will properly reflect VALUE when the much vaunted RNS finally lands. Personally if we get halfway to true value I'll be made up.
Agree the idea fully...confidently...but reckon we should give it one week more than you reckon. GLALTH
And that's after getting on pulled - naughty boys
2x and his new bumchum FBrownkisskisskiss have hit the 15/25 last postings record talking to themselves!! Naked agenda here.
Yes I think that a big player will too - and it'll likely be Ineos IMO. That's what threw me about them doing the second well themselves though.
I get the bigger picture about maximising value but they came to us as people who wouldn't hesitate to monetise assets, whereas another drill plus subsequent well tests etc etc (and fighting off the bog snorkling environmentalists for all I know) is just spreading themselves thinner over a project already likely to be transformational.
14 messages out of the last 25? That's 56% of the board. Get a grip and stop wittering.
Damn predictive text! Ieca...
Grannyboy on other site: ASX have announced spud of the Parta well in Aus/Canada wherever they're based
