PP1, I agree there are many more customers like you than me. To be clear I'm not expecting a mass refusal of jo public to purchase from any boohoo brands.
Yes, you're right many move on and do loose money. I'll let you know how I go on the 50 percent I cash out. May invest it in Joules or Menzies
PP1 praise to you where it is due. Your strategy has brought you outstanding results and your informative, knowledgeable and respectful posts are one of the reasons I read this board.
For me I've made a higher percent gain from other companies since I initially invested in boohoo after the slavery scandal last year. There are obviously many ways to invest and over the last few months I've seen a few posters on here who I've respected grow tired of the witch hunt surrounding this company and decide to try their luck elsewhere. If I was in your position I don't doubt I'd be staying here. You've made more money than some ppl will ever see after all.
For me it's time to reduce my position here, I'll be selling half my holding into any decent rise pre results. I've no doubt this company is going places, but I'm confident I can make more elsewhere before jumping back in at a later date .
Thought you were saying no more til Tuesday I'm as likely filtered as you are to not post until Tuesday.
Touchy, touchy clearly you're a little bit uncomfortable about having so much of your portfolio in here. Long term this and all the other stories will blow over, but it's slowing down where boohoo are heading without a doubt imo.
And that's the problem isn't it, most of B&Q and Screwfix customers won't know they are owned by the same parent company. Thanks to the big media witch hunt boohoo's customers are increasingly exactly aware of the parent company of each brand, resulting in each brand being slowly tarnished by errors/ bad press in any of the lines. A typical boohoo customer may not care about the historic salve labour allegations, perhaps not true of the target customers of the other brands. If a woman spends a lot on an item from coat she wants to feel special in that coat not feel like she could have picked that same coat up at dorothy polyester perkins. She's going to feel like she's been taken for a fool and will prob look somewhere else for a coat next time making sure it's not boohoo owned and if she likes that brand may not look back to boohoo for a while. Women are funny with clothes.
I'm a shareholder here and want them to do well, but in all honesty which I'd doubled up on joules instead- may still do this after a bit more research.

This would definitely put me off.

Loving this share.
Lover the banter between boohoo and asos here, all good for marketing imo

Does anyone here actually purchase from these brands? I last set foot in DP about 7 years ago and decided not to waste my time again, cheap and not stylish. Burton's the men I know all say they wouldn't shop there or wouldn't admit shopping there. Wallis- I can't really comment on, but would assume similar to oasis which I do use.
I just can't see how DP and Burton's fit with boohoo- opinions please?
I guess at least £25m isn't a massive amount to boohoo, just hope they don't damage their brand and lose customers if they get this wrong.
The Red Herring, etc brands that you mention there are what worry me. The clothes are good quality in terms of material better than Dorothy Perkins, but I don't know anyone who actually buys them. They just never look quite right...basically dowdy.
Agree the colours on the boo one looks more expensive, the fabric itself also looks better quality. Obv that could be all down to lighting though. There's a slight difference on the neckline I think the boo one is more now style wise.
The Shein one.... It could be the model they used, but I'm in my 30's and this reminds me of how my generation wanted to look 10 years ago. I suspect the model boo has more of a look that the teens and early 20's of today want to emulate.
ShareExpert and Steve know nothin (or similar name) one or both then mentioned NIO and CRSR a few months ago. If either of them are still reading I'd like to say thanks. Still holding boohoo and have made more than enough on NIO and CRSR to cover any potential drops here.
