Hi Beachbum
Thanks for this I referred to my wife and I - retired we always work as a pair and very happy with the SAGA gains made since joining - spending the profits made by leaving Morrisons. Incidentally the previous comments re them were not from us.
As a matter of interest I did follow the kind Saga insurance link and my comments were correct. My several pre existing made us think were buying a property not a 2 week European cruise. We will stay in UK.
Cheers
Hi
Dont wish to cloud your enthusiastic predictions but I /we are the Grey Pound and with over 50 cruises under our belts see 2 problems..
1) when over 70 year insurance costs and pre-existing issues take viability just 2 high.
2) We have seen just how fast and rampant onboard virus can spread, cruises locked in cabins etc.. No thanks. Our best bet is to wait and see how this all pans out for cruise ships over the next 2 years before committing to cruises.
As a SAGA shareholder we hope very much you are right.
Cheers
I knew Ken Morrison a fine spoke his mind Yorkshireman.
2 weeks ago finally managed to obtain a delivery slot but doubt I will use them again. Biggest problem short expiry dates. 2 x chilled items expired on day of delivery (after we had eaten) they refunded but that's not the issue and several other items were short dated. Will only shop in store now and Tesco for online delivery.
We were refering to a UK Govt bail out!¬
Huh! You mean just as they did on Sirius SXX.
This Govt cost many shareholders their shirt, few escaped. Buyer Beware
Hoping for good times here but a note of caution - just remember what happened when Sirius minerals (and Optare a few years ago) when they were taken over!! Most investers lost their shirts... Message is, don't get too wedded to a share!
Yes, and NEDs were post Sir Ken of course.
Hi CynyC,
I too enjoyed your comments about Ken and Morrisons. I have also held their shares happily for a number of years and in September (ish) 2009 I think, had the Pleasure and Privilege of presenting him with the Institute of Directors, 'Lifetime Achievement' Award at the Director of the Year Awards . A very amusing and pleasant and opinionated man to speak with afterwards.
RIP Ken
Yes sorry depreciation, maybe make £900k
Thanks
Just buy 1 million sxx at 4.6 and wait for the 5.5 pay off (if the vote is yes) lots seem to be doing it today.
Because Vote still has not happened - !!
If SXX goes into administration - AA could pick it up for much less directly from Administrators!
what link???
As I have said before - 'Sounds like Insider Trading' Should be in a court of Law
JT JP
If this is correct, sounds like Insider Trading and all concerned should be jailed for many years and all assets confiscated and repaid to all recent SXX shareholders!
See this link is now DEAD, fancy that
Not much use - the Page last updated: 20 July 2017!
Tells you 'nowt'

Good one, very amusing. Should create an appropriate graphic joke and sell to a newspaper. Probably make a £ killing help with your losses.....

Well that's me out - been in since the early days at about .o6p and intermittent top ups since. Once at .28p ouch.
Sold out all end of Sept bought back in £750 end Nov to test the promises! Sold them yesterday for .05504p £1,176 so a profit £428 made a small dent in the many £thousands written off .
I saw the sale price was slightly up on the offer of .055p and it was in my account yesterday rather than waiting for a maybe after 31st March - how long to wait for the cash and out of SXX too? will follow the mines progress and may dip into to the new offering one day.
Best of luck to all from a relative silent lurker.
