OK you're correct. I don't know that 3 of the shares I hold all started experiencing unusually large trades at the same time today. I also don't know that all 3 of these shares are joining the MSCI global small cap index today.
I imagine its all down to a huge sale RNS arriving tomorrow tomorrow instead.

I am in 3 different shares all joining the MSCI fund(including EUA). All have experienced an unexpected rise at the same time this evening.

That and I'm pretty sure all three aren't about to be sold tomorrow.

Its just the transfer to the small cap fund, calm down chaps.

I suspect we might not get anymore news for 2-3 weeks which will be news on BAMS validation.

Pretty sure in a deal in the 100s of millions the BoD would of already tested the water with major share holders before they even mention the 35p figure.
If this goes for more than 35 it will be down to a late third party offer coming in.

I really cant understand why AS has not figured out that for this share in the current covid19 climate releasing an RNS with no concrete news does far more harm than good to the stability of the share price.
It gives the MM exactly the excuse they need to play on peoples doubts and fears.
I just wish he would think a little more. It was obvious to anyone that has been in this share for some time what that RNS would do. Idiotic.

Agreed, I would be amazed if the BoD accepted an offer without having a very good idea wether it would be accepted or not. What PIs think is irrelevant we are a tiny amount of the shares held.

I have worked as an engineer for a leading uk car manufacurer for 2 decades. We are now, along with many other car brands, coming to the conclusion that purely electric vehicles will not be practical(particularly in the uk) for several decades.
The main problem is very simple, space, a huge amount of people in this country are unable to even park outside there own houses, the infrastucture investment required to get the amount of charge points needed is massive.
Our main design and investment is currently hybrid vehicles.
EVs will be mainstream one day but not for a long time yet.

Except it is not like Corus or Taylor woodrow. A totally different business model with customers that pay for an insurance up front that they rarely use.

You may be correct on your other points, I have no idea, but your top point is wrong.

Historically in times of financial hardship AA memberships have increased as Members see breakdown cover as a cheaper alternative to getting there car regularly serviced and maintained.

I can't see why anyone would invest all they have in a company that produces nothing and doesn't yet have the billions it needs to get to what it's going to sell.

I am very lucky that I sold half at 30p and am left with 100k shares I will stick with.

Think I will just hold them till the bitter end. I knew I was taking a risk yesterday when I got some more in but I knew I was investing in a company that owed money, had nothing to sell and needed 3 billion to be able to sell it. These things can happen. Luckily made a nice little earner on the AA in the last week or 2 which covers it.

Actually purchased some more today.
I know it's a gamble I see it as maybe 60:40.
Not investing anything I can't afford to lose although the missus may not be happy!

Evening all. LTH here, watched this chat from afar for some time. Had my shares for several years. This discussion cheered me up after a long day at work.
Personally I think if you trust any of our current crop of politicians on both sides of the house you should think again!
