Its likely the board have made the books available by now due to time elapsed and status of bidder We are currently over the three week line, if correct the next bit of news could well be a request for more time with a step change in tone.

Three weeks is a long time trying assess a business without full access to the paperwork.

It could be argued that HCM share price is being maintained at an artificial low, what happens when these shorts unwind and start buying ?

Easy to push down borrowing other peoples shares, closing might be a bit more tricky..

If an extension is sought I would expect some reasoning, i.e a firming of intentions or perhaps open the books, either of these should give investors a much better idea as to what's what.

Well laid out and very clear presentation on investment case, probably one of the best I have read in this regard.

2025 forecast of #30m is again repeated with clear justification on how this will be achieved, its also on the bottom of RNS's which suggests a high level of confidence achieving this goal.

Not sure the market is convinced though, too many false dawns I suspect now in 'show me the money' phase.

Cheers Oke, I looked at the Scheme of arrangement but that requires board approval which is more to do with an agreed bid rather than hostile.

My understanding of the takeover code is you need 90% of the common stock to vote in favour of a hostile takeover. You can of course make the approach with anything above 30% but for the balance of shares to be purchased compulsorily it needs a quorum of 90%
