Yes Jerrys, certainly seems to be the case. GGP only acquired the Paterson tenements in September 2016. GP had already risen sufficiently for NCM and Rio to justify doing some research? I guess I was partly hoping GGP had some magic formula for identifying lucrative spots. Certainly judging by their initial findings, success rate seems unusually high?

Kempey, I appreciate technology has moved on, but why did it take GGP to identify these tenements, and not NCM or Rio, who are effectively neighbours?

Is it about the people planning, executing and interpreting the info, or does GGP have any unique technology compared to other miners?

Does anybody know if the “Geophysical modelling and hardware” that CB refers to is widely used amongst miners? I was wondering why NCM did not hit upon this area long before GGP (I am aware NCM did some prospecting in 1990s, but why not later before GGP got hold of the land?).

How would 5% fair market value be calculated - SP or MRE?

Exactly Michelle - I've been saying that about the new style 'high-grade' breccias that even Newcrest's Mike Nossal spoke about after the last results for weeks now.

They are from the SW corner where there has been a minimum of 2 rigs constantly drilling since last Dec.

In his interview last week, GH seemed very excited about high grades of gold being found in the breccia zones. Can anyone enlighten us regarding the significance of that statement?

Corrado made a very interesting observation earlier today:

“ Revisited the March 2020 quarterly figures. If ore from Hav doubles the Telfer head grade (from 0.97 to around 1.95) then the mining/milling costs per oz Au prod would half. The Hav Cu grade is guesstimate around 0.8g/t Au eq, so around 0.9%, which is way over the current grade (0.17%) so the Cu credit could actually increase per Au oz prod as well...

Just halving mining/milling cost per oz alibe would reduce the AISC by around US$520 per oz... ignoring any potential by-product credit increase. Big impact, 1160 down to 640.

If so, you would have got a flavour of the pandemonium that everyone went through on this BB when we heard NCM had suspended its shares! It was wild madness and excitement rolled in one!!

Willc. If you look at the GGP presentation and paddy’s geological Google Earth map, you will see there is still more to come at Havieron, particularly in the North West direction. I think they are calling this a bull’s eye formation. More such formations also appear in other parts of GGP’s Patterson tenements, which have yet to be drilled extensively.

Tricky...no ramping going on. Have you read the GGP update? The buyout speculation was late night when NCM suspended trading in Asx and said it was looking at a takeover!

GGP presentation of 1 May is very informative.

I reckon minimum £3 bn value for entire portfolio, or 70p per share.
