In this case, I'd rather NO DEAL than a bad one. An offer is just that....an offer. It doesn't have to be accepted.
26 June 2020 "The Company advises that in line with its previous discussions it has received a confidential offer from its 19.9% shareholder Aeturnum Energy PTE Ltd ("Aeturnum") (refer news release 25 March 2020) to acquire a majority position in the KSK CoW. Both parties remain engaged and negotiations with Aeturnum continue and a revised offer for the KSK CoW is expected shortly. Whilst there can be no guarantee that a transaction will be concluded, the Company will update shareholders as these negotiations progress."
"The Company has been informed by Aeturnum that it has finalised all due diligence workstreams and intends to enter into negotiations with Asiamet for a partial or full acquisition of the KSK Contract of Work." NEGOTIATIONS TAKE TIME!
"Asiamet has appointed Melbourne based Grant Samuel Corporate Finance to assist the Board and Management with strategic and financial advice on any potential transaction with Aeturnum."
"The Company will provide a further update on this process if and when the parties are able to agree a transaction that provides a suitable path forward for the development of the BKM project on the KSK Contract of Work and which delivers appropriate value for all key stakeholders." IF AND WHEN!
