The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Hi ffc
No not stuck up an attic but under a bath struggling to get some taps off that were put on in 1962 according to my customer. I only got out today, hence no posts from me since the bonds were pulled.
Have I missed anything?
Has there been the emergence of any slimy, parasitic characters here as is usually the case when we have a setback trying to prise our shares from us?
Sorry to hear about your ankle.Best of luck with your recovery.

I put a limit order in yesterday to buy at no more than 3.6p and I had a text message from my broker this morning to say it has been executed. Yet to check my account to see exactly how much I've paid.
Happy buying to you.

You (rightly) make the point that just because someone has few posts they are no less important and relevant. However, you then make a point of stating your holding [sic] as if that in itself is important and adds weight to your argument.

That made me laugh.
Dare I ask out of this site and your Debbie film which one has the more pricks?

I'm glad the government have got an eye on us. They should have. We've worked hard to put ourselves in a situation where they should be keeping an eye us. Our success is to their advantage. Our being kept an eye on is testsmemt to our success so far and not our failing.
I just hope we don't need them. My thinking is we won't. I'm sure we'll get the bonds away fine.
As for your question / assumption that I'm happy to read wjst the the Motley Fool has to say!
What on earth in anything I've posted gave you cause to think that?
I gave up reading anything they wrote a long time ago.

Well said.

I'm sitting outside that pub you told us to go to having a lunch break during a 60km mountain bike route on the peak district.
Enjoy your quayside.

Oh the irony of your post lol.
I thought the Mail on Sunday article was an over emotive piece of of so called journalism which we have become all too used to as investors here.
If you had never heard of Sirius and you read that article you would be forgiven for thinking we were a company in this situation because of mis-management and that things were out of our control and a government backed form of support was our only way of continuing to move forward.
Talk of us crashing into administration, MPs pleading with the government to save us and investors having been 'stunned' at the bond delay is just sensationalist and utter crap.
I for one certainly wasn't stunned and I'm sure I'm not in the minority.
As far as I'm concerned the sooner we can move forward without government help the better. We as small private investors have helped bring us to where we are now. We're the ones who invested heavily and took the risks. I just hope we can carry ourselves over the finishing line without government assistance.
They had their chance to get involved but bottled it.
Sod 'em.
Why should they step in now and take the glory.
Let's do it ourselves Mr Fraser if you read this board.

You had better luck with CF than I did.
I saw him in Lidl just after he pulled the bonds. He was looking at the Australian wine in the ten for one section. I too had to pluck up the courage to approach him. He was looking all lonesome and rejected so I put my best Aussie accent on and sidled over.
"Cheer up you miserable git it might never happen ," says I.
As I fell back to the floor I heard him mumbling something about warm beer, the ****e weather and the sarcastic fecking poms.

Oh we've noticed.
It's a bit of a stand up joke around these parts.
Haven't you heard: we're going to name out container ships Motley Fool and Mr Crumb.
I have to say that I haven't even seen this photo / video but are finding the detective work between you guys fascinating.
I'm just trying to figure out who's Poirot. Who's Columbo and who's Hetty Wainthrope amongst you.
I missed the start of the thread so unsure if there's a body at the bottom?
At the risk of spoiling the investigation has anyone thought of just calling head office to ask them? I've called them in the past about things and they've always been keen to help.

Anyone who chooses to read that brief divi conversation yesterday will know that it was indeed mentioned in jest and that it was a bit of idle curiosity on a slow day to talk about how much the sale of soil removal would equate to per share.
Not only do you struggle with the meaning of words you now choose to omit bits of what I actually said to try to press your point ( thanks Chesh for pointing out his deliberate omission ).
If you think someone who's been invested here and in the stock market generally for nearly forty years doesn't know the basics of dividend payment then that's for you to decide.
Maybe your terror ( your description) at being invested here has robbed you of your sense of humour and light hearted banter which some of us on here engage in from time to time.
Anyway, I've gotta go for today. On my hols and the mountains beckon. And when I say I've got to go I do mean it. So if you want to have the last word on the subject and which was started over the weekend about your struggle with the meaning of a simple word then feel free.

As I stated earlier today straight after my divi post it was said in jest.
Your need to bring it up again several hours later clearly shows you're still annoyed at being shown to be an idiot yesterday by your definition of ' promised'.
Foxhound
I did suggest it in jest.

It would be a nice thank you bonus.
I think I'd buy more shares with mine and turn each grand bonus into a couple of hundred quid lol.
Only joking.
I think.

I've gotta sit down now having wrote that.
So very roughly speaking would that give us a divi of approx 0.25p?
My maths is crap so don't shoot me down if that's way off.

Don't tell me that I'll have to sit down and wipe that sweat from my brow.
