Government can fast track environmental concerns.
HOWEVER.
You have to proceeds a LOT of earth to extract rare earth elements, and the processing operation tends to use a LOT of water, and produce a LOT of pollution/waste that nobody wants. Its significantly environmentally unfriendly.
Which is the irony because we need these rare earth elements to produce environmentally friendly technologyies.
China was poor enough & decades ahead of it's game to undertake this environmentally damaging extraction. (Norway is several years into it's extraction process & 9 years before some rare earth elements come to market)
America is currently obliterating many of it's environmental laws, but the NIMBY effect remains strong in America.
Pricing....how do you predict prices ten years out, with tariff policies changing every 30 days or a brain burp post on social media.
BHP, RIO TINTO....bombarded with environmental pressure groups with CO2 emissions & rare earth elements will be walk in the park???? IF they have a LOT of water 💦 & new pollution technology.
Just saying....on a metals list ain't Billions in the bank!!
I'm invested but TRIM to WIN.....gla.
