As the quiet summer months settle upon us, we have an opportunity to reflect on where things stand in today's telecom market.
The rush to achieve 5G has been largely hype so far, with no real 5G networks in operation except maybe in China and South Korea. The jump from traditional 4G performance to 4G Evolved (which is the underlying tech for pretty much every "5G" network currently on the market) has been uninspiring, in large part because it makes little difference to the average end user.
And yet, there is much to look forward to. Private 5G is not only real, but it is capable of offering vast efficiency improvements to industrial and enterprise customers. Open RAN, while unproven and slow to develop, should eventually lead to long-term cost savings and greater flexibility for operators. And improvements in bridge technologies, such as Fixed Wireless Access and Passive Optical Networks, are bringing more stable and enhanced broadband throughput to the home.
At Ethernity, we developed products and solutions that were ready for a 5G world that has been slow to take hold. As such, we have adjusted our models to be successful for a variety of use cases that are applicable to today's emerging markets (like FWA and PON), as well as to 5G and Open RAN as they become more ubiquitous. And we continue to promote our technology expertise within a broader range of industries so that there's even greater exposure to the benefits of Ethernity's IP.
Thus, we recently attended a new exhibition for us, Embedded World, which brought discussions with representatives from not only the telecom world, but also from the automotive industry, manufacturing companies, and Smart City planners. The possibilities are endless.

Just found this , not sure wether this was filmed at embedded world . I’ve tried to link it on twitter but tbh I’m a tad clueless on that front! Don’t usually hear from Oded, wonder where DL is?

Blog post
If you are the type of person who notices subtle changes, you might have noticed that we launched a new product page on the Ethernity website, FPGA Boards.
This new section features a range of hardware boards that Ethernity has developed over the past few years that are now being made available to the marketplace as standalone products rather than as integrated parts of larger devices. They use a variety of different FPGAs and have different arrays of interfaces, clock sync components, CPUs, Flash, and memory on-board. Depending on an engineer’s needs for the specific application s/he seeks to develop, Ethernity likely has is a board that offers an excellent platform on which to base the design.
The key value here is the reduced time-to-market for such an engineer. By using a pre-existing board design, the engineer can concentrate on programming the application without worrying about the long and involved process of hardware design and testing. Because Ethernity’s boards are FPGA-based, there is flexibility to program toward any application for virtually any industry, with optimal networking and security performance.
And, of course, should the engineer want or need Ethernity’s expertise and experience in delivering customized hardware, or if s/he might benefit from the use of our pre-existing IP cores (packet processing, security, PON), that is always an option as well.
All of Ethernity’s FPGA boards will also be available via the Xilinx Partner Portal so that potential customers who are browsing the various products on the Xilinx site can also take advantage of the Ethernity boards.
As always, Ethernity Networks is staying ahead of the curve when it comes to offering valuable FPGA-based products for our customers.

I know I shouldn’t go on about this but there is little to discuss enet wise and you have irked me . Sergi the only thing you have done right here is sell at a profit . To say it isn’t about money is frankly hilarious , if you have wasted time doing research and compiling ridiculous spread sheets about an aim company then learn from it and don’t do it again. If you are looking to buy back in at 50 percent lower than now then that will be another mistake because if they drop that low then the company will well and truly be in the gallows . And then you are just trading . I promise to now add you to the 504 pile and never bother you again. Ps I own enough of a percentage of the company to be ****ed off ! Atb
