(Alliance News) - Wincanton PLC said Friday it has appointed Mihiri Jayaweera as a non-executive director of the company effective April 7.
The logistics company said Jayaweera was, until October 2019, group head of strategy and a member of the group executive committee of TP ICAP PLC, the FTSE 250 professional intermediaries firm.
Jayaweera was previously a consultant at Trivedi Capital Ltd, a private equity investment advisory firm based in London.
Martin Read, chair of the company, said: "I am delighted to welcome Mihiri to Wincanton. She has a deep understanding of investment banking and financial analysis and will provide further diversity of thought and balance to our board. We very much look forward to working with her".
Wincanton shares were trading 1.5% higher in London at 277.00 pence each on Friday.
