UPDATE: New Rightmove Chair Steps Down As Non-Exec Of Moneysupermarket

Fri, 22nd Nov 2019 18:17

(Alliance News) - Moneysupermarket.com Group PLC late Friday said Andrew Fisher will step down as a non-executive director at the price comparison website at it annual general meeting in May.

Earlier on Friday, Rightmove PLC said it has appointed Fisher as its non-executive chair with effect from January 1. The property portal said Fisher will succeed Scott Forbes, who retires on December 31 after more than 14 year as chair of the company.

"On behalf of Moneysupermarket, I'd like to thank Andrew for his invaluable contribution to the board over the last five years and offer our sincere congratulations on his new appointment. We've all benefitted from Andrew's counsel and expertise, particularly in the digital space and during a period when the group has undergone significant transformation and growth," said Chair Robin Freestone.

Rightmove shares closed up 1.8% in London at 629.46 pence each on Friday, while Moneysupermarket closed up 0.1% at 341.89p.
