UPDATE: Arm takes up most of GBP60 million Raspberry Pi share sale

Raspberry Pi Holdings PLC - Cambridge, England-based manufacturer of low-cost computers - Raspberry Pi Foundation sells 10.9 million shares at 550 pence, worth GBP60.0 million in a placing with strategic and institutional investors and retail offer run by brokers Jefferies International Ltd and Peel Hunt LLC. Strategic shareholder Arm Technology Investments 2 Ltd, part of UK-based chip designer Arm Holdings PLC, takes up most of the offer, investing GBP50 million. The share sale results are in line with plans announced after the London market close on Wednesday.

The shares sold represent a 5.6% stake in Raspberry Pi, reducing the foundation's holding in the company to 79.4 million shares, a 41.0% stake. Raspberry Pi Foundation is a UK charity set up by Raspberry Pi to support the education of young people in computing and digital technology.
