Tue, 29th Jul 2025 09:35

LONDON, July 29 (Reuters) - British lenders approved 64,167 mortgages in June, more than expected by most economists, Bank of England data showed on Tuesday, adding to signs that the housing market has moved beyond a wobble after a tax break for homebuyers ended in April.

A Reuters poll of economists had pointed to 63,000 mortgage approvals during the month. (Writing by William Schomberg; Editing by Alison Williams)
