UK house prices fell by 0.6% in May, Nationwide says

LONDON, June ​1 (Reuters) - ⁠British ​house prices fell 0.6% ​in ‌May, ⁠leaving them 1.7% ⁠higher ​than a year earlier, monthly figures ​from ‌mortgage lender Nationwide ​Building Society showed ‌on Monday.

Economists polled by ‌Reuters had forecast a median ​0.2% drop for May ‌alone and a year-on-year ⁠increase ⁠of ‌2.2% for the ​month.
