(Alliance News) - Tritax EuroBox PLC on Wednesday said it has agreed a new lease on the vacant unit at its logistics asset in Nivelles to Associated Retail SA, a supermarket group operating across Belgium, Luxembourg and northern France.
The property company investing in distribution centres across Europe said the Nivelles property, comprising two separate logistics units, was acquired in January 2021, immediately after completion of construction, with a gross internal area of 34,119 square metres.
Tritax EuroBox acquired Nivelles asset with unit 1 - comprising 18,147 square metres - already leased to Medi-Market Group SA on a nine-year lease for EUR803,000 per annum.
The new lease for unit 2 - comprising 15,972 square metres - has been agreed for a nine-year term at an initial annual rent of EUR755,500.
"This letting provides further tenant diversification across our portfolio and validates our strategy of buying high-quality, sustainable assets in prime logistics locations," asserted Freddie James, assistant fund manager of Tritax EuroBox.
FTSE 250-listed Tritax EuroBox shares were trading broadly flat in London on Wednesday morning at 113.58 pence each.
