TP Group wins another GE contract

(Sharecast News) - Specialist services and engineering group TP Group has been awarded an additional contract by Baker Hughes - a GE company - within the nuclear sector, it announced on Tuesday.The AIM-traded firm said the contract, valued at about £6.4m, followed on from the first award from GE Oil & Gas under the programme, which was announced by TP Group on 6 December 2016.It said the work would be carried out at its 'advanced manufacturing centre' in Manchester over the next four years."We are delighted to continue our work with GE on this strategic programme," said TP Group chief executive Phil Cartmell."It further recognises both the investment and progress made at the Manchester facility in becoming a world-class manufacturing hub for critical equipment in the energy and defence sectors."
