Mon, 07th Oct 2019 10:29

(Sharecast News) - TP Group has been appointed as a "key part" of the team which has won the Ministry of Defence's 'Skynet Client Side Support' contract, it announced on Monday.
The AIM-traded firm said the arrangement had been confirmed with the issue of the first task orders, with a committed value of £1.5million to be delivered over the next 12 months.

It said that, working with the prime contractor for CSS - PA Consulting - it would provide technical assurance, approvals, analysis and cost estimation expertise to the third-largest acquisition project in the Ministry of Defence.

The full CSS contract was planned to last for five years, and had an advertised value of £150m.

"We are very pleased to join the PA Consulting team for such a prestigious project in military satellite communications and technology," said TP Group chief executive officer Phil Cartmell.

"Following the acquisition of Sapienza Consulting earlier this year, this win cements the company's role as a trusted partner to [the] MoD in this high technology field and positions the group for other major space programme work throughout Europe."
