The Panoply appoints local government veteran to board of FutureGov

Fri, 27th Sep 2019 08:14

(Sharecast News) - Digitally native technology-enables services group The Panoply announced on Friday that Lesley Seary has been appointed to the board of its FutureGov subsidiary as a non-executive director.
The AIM-traded firm said Seary was joining the board with more than 30 years of experience in the local government sector.

It said she had worked in a number of London boroughs, and led a range of services, including regeneration, planning, housing, waste and recycling services, housing benefits and customer services.

Most recently, she was chief executive at Islington Borough Council for eight years.

The Panoply said FutureGov had been "changing public sector organisations through digital transformation" for more than 10 years, using design, technology and organisation development approaches to create public services "fit for the 21st century".

It joined The Panoply in June, as the company's largest acquisition to date.

At FutureGov, Seary would use her experience to support the business as it continued to develop and grow, particularly in leading change in local governments and building strong partnerships across sectors.

The new addition to the FutureGov board also marks a 50/50 gender balance across all levels of leadership at the organisation.

"I'm thrilled to bring Lesley into the FutureGov family," said FutureGov chief executive officer Dominic Campbell.

"Lesley brings with her years of experience and a wealth of knowledge connecting the health and public sectors.

"She's a respected colleague that we're proud to have as part of our ongoing story of growth and change to help us achieve our mission of transforming health and public sector organisations to deliver the highest quality, citizen-centred services that have a lasting impact."
