LONDON (Alliance News) - Grocer Tesco PLC said Tuesday it has appointed Melissa Bethell as non-executive director of the company with effect from September 24.
"Her broad range of skills and experience will be of significant benefit to the board as we implement our strategy," said Chairman John Allan.
Bethell, who will join Tesco's audit committee, currently is a managing partner of Atairos Europe, an investment fund backed by Comcast NBC Universal.
Shares in Tesco were trading 0.4% lower at 244.00 pence each on Tuesday morning.
