Ted Baker Hires Ex-B&Q, Marks & Spencer People Chief As Non-Executive

Wed, 24th Apr 2019 13:06

LONDON (Alliance News) - Ted Baker PLC said Wednesday it hired former Marks & Spencer PLC human resources chief Helena Feltham as non-executive director of the fashion firm from the start of May.

Feltham has held a number of senior roles in retail and human resources across several firms. Most recently, she served as people director at Kingfisher PLC-owned hardware store chain B&Q.

Prior to this, she was human resources director at clothing firms Jack Wills Ltd, Marks & Spencer, Topshop and Woolworths South Africa.

"We are delighted that Helena is joining us at this important time for the business" Ted Baker Executive Chair David Bernstein said. "Working with the board, Helena's support and insight on implementing the recommendations from the independent HR policies and procedures review will be of great value."

Earlier in April, Ted Baker made the appointment of Lindsay Page as chief executive officer a permanent pick after former boss and founder Ray Kelvin stood down amid sexual harassment claims.

Page had been appointed acting CEO on Kelvin taking voluntary leave of absence following the claims, Kelvin eventually resigned permanently in March.

Shares in Ted Baker were 1.1% higher at 1,579.54 pence on Wednesday.
