Shareholders in drug developer SkyePharma received a pick-me-up after the company said that its new drug application for its lead development product, Flutiform, has been accepted for review by the US Food and Drug Administration. As a result, an amount of $2m us due to SkyePharma, from which the filing fee of $1.2m will be deducted.Wirelss equipment tester Anite said operating profit for the year ended 30 April was in line with expectations. Both Wireless and Travel reported operating profits ahead of last year with the businesses benefiting from strong cost control and favourable currency movements.
