(Sharecast News) - TBC Bank said on Monday that it has appointed Guy Stevens as group chief financial officer with effect from 13 July, as Giorgi Megrelishvili plans to step down in August.
The bank said Stevens brings almost 30 years of corporate finance experience in the financial institutions sector. He has held senior roles at UBS Investment Bank, Deloitte Corporate Finance and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, advising banks and other financial services companies across EMEA on a wide range of strategic and capital markets transactions.
TBC said he has "longstanding familiarity" with the bank, including acting as joint global coordinator on the initial public offering in 2014.
Current CFO Megrelishvili will step down with effect from 1 August. In his capacity as CFO of JSC TBC Bank, the company will announce his successor in due course, it said.
Chief executive Vakhtang Butskhrikidze said: "We are very pleased to welcome Guy as our new group CFO at an important point in the group's development. His deep experience across financial institutions and capital markets, combined with his understanding of our business, will be instrumental as we continue to execute on our strategy and pursue further growth opportunities.
"I would also like to thank Giorgi for his contribution to the group and wish him every success in the future."
