Synergia Energy says gas rates have plateaued at C-77H well in Gujarat

(Alliance News) - Synergia Energy Ltd on Friday said gas production rates have plateaued at the Cambay C-77H well in Gujarat, India in an update on the well's artificial lift operations.

The India and UK-focused gas production and carbon capture & storage project development company said gas rates are currently at 150,000 standard cubic feet per day, with gas condensate production between six to 12 barrels per day.

Produced water rates are declining at currently running at 15 barrels per day, Synergia Energy said, down from the initial peak levels of around 60 barrels per day.

"It is believed that the water ingress is coming from zones 1-4, which is limiting the gas/gas condensate production coming from zones 5 & 6," said Synergia Energy.

"The forward plan is to see if the fluid column continues to drop indicating that the water ingress from zones 1-4 is reducing. A re-installation of a bridge plug to isolate zones 1-4 is still an option but may not be necessary if the fluid column can be reduced to manageable levels."

Synergia Energy also noted that the jet pump has been operating "reliably" since the installation in September.

Further updates will be provided "as and when appropriate", Synergia Energy said.

Shares in Synergia Energy were down 1.1% to 0.089 pence each in London on Friday morning.
