Surgical Innovations signs distribution deal

(ShareCast News) - Surgical Innovations Limited, which is a subsidiary of Surgical Innovations Group, has entered into a distribution deal with Asia Cardiovascular Products Ltd.Under the terms of the deal, for which no financial details were disclosed, ACP will be get non-exclusive rights to market, promote, distribute and sell all current and future Surgical Innovations branded products in Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand and Korea.ACP is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Getz Bros & co, which has been a substantial shareholder of Surgical Innovations since its admission to AIM in 1998, so the deal is considered a related-party transaction.Surgical Innovations specialises in the design and manufacture of innovative devices for use in minimally-invasive surgery and industrial markets.At 1405 BST, shares in the company were up 4.9% at 1.39p.
