(Alliance News) - Cyber security software company Shearwater Group PLC on Friday said its subsidiary SecurEnvoy has signed a distribution contract with EMT Distribution.
The stock was trading 6.7% higher on Friday in London at 2.05 pence a share.
Under the deal, EMT will represent SecurEnvoy as a distribution partner for its existing multi-factor authentication solutions, as well as other future product categories, in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa.
Multi-factor authentication is a security system that protects companies against data breach.
SecurEnvoy develops identity and access management solutions to protect the user, device and data, enabling organisations to deploy a wide range of methods to authenticate users accessing Microsoft Office 365 web and desktop applications.
"EMT Distribution is well positioned to accelerate growth across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa region for SecurEnvoy's product set," said Shearwater Chief Executive Phil Higgins.
"This agreement opens up an additional distribution channel for SecurEnvoy and strengthens its position in the identity and access management sector," added Higgins.
