Seeing Machines finds no evidence of breach after cyber threat allegation

Fri, 10th Apr 2026 10:56

(Sharecast News) - Seeing Machines said on Friday that it is investigating an alleged cyber threat after being named online in connection with claims that some of its data may have been accessed, but had so far found no evidence of a breach.

The AIM-traded computer vision technology group said it was informed of the alleged threat around 10 days ago and immediately launched a priority investigation.

While a third party had linked the company to potential data access claims, Seeing Machines said it had "not identified any relevant events in relation to the claim, nor has any unauthorised access to Seeing Machines systems or data has been identified at this time".

The company added that all operations continued to run normally and that enhanced monitoring systems were in place to detect any further developments.

It said it would maintain close oversight of its systems in the coming period to ensure the continued security of its data and infrastructure.

Seeing Machines said it was working with relevant authorities and external cyber security experts as part of its response, and reiterated its commitment to keeping stakeholders informed should any material developments arise.

At 1148 BST, shares in Seeing Machines were up 2.51% at 3.16p.
