LONDON (Alliance News) - Rolls-Royce Holding PLC Wednesday said it has won a contract from shipyard company Vard to supply its latest dynamic positioning system for two new offshore construction vessels.
It didn't provide any financial details.
The vessels will be built at the Vard shipyard in Norway and delivered in the first half of 2015. Rolls-Royce, which has previously supplied Vard with older versions of its dynamic positioning system, is also supplying the engines, thrusters, propulsion systems, steering gears, and rudders for the two new vessels.
The vessels are being built for Farstad Shipping.
