Tue, 05th Jan 2010 07:22
Educational IT specialist RM Group has firmed up some of the details of its deal to provide on screen electronic marking services for the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma qualification exams.RM Assessment and Data Services will provide its ‘scoris’ marking system to IB’s 6,500 examiners. The service will support more than 2,000 schools in more than 138 countries. The framework agreement should be worth more than £7m over five years to RM and is likely to increase as demand for IB’s qualifications increases.‘With strong, growing demand for IB qualifications, we need to ensure that we have an efficient and effective examination delivery framework in place for IB World Schools around the globe. It's clear to us that, in the future, students, schools and examiners will expect modern technology to be part of that framework,’ said IB’s director general, Jeffrey Beard. Rm
