(Alliance News) - Leslie Easson will join the board of home collected credit lenders Morses Club PLC as a non-executive director after he retires from his operations director role in August, the company said on Wednesday.
Easson, who was worked for the company for more than 36 years, will join the board on September 1, a day after leaving his operations post.
Stephen Karle, the chairman of Morses Club, said of Eaason: "His expert knowledge and understanding of the home collected credit industry, combined with his commitment to providing best-in-class customer satisfaction, has been invaluable to the company. We look forward to benefiting from Les's experience and deep sector knowledge in his new capacity as a non-executive director."
The 58-year-old, who started his tenure at Morses as an agent before working his way up to management, is also a director at Scottish builders Croftness Development Ltd. He was formerly a director at Shopacheck Financial Services Ltd before that firm merged with Morses Club in 2015.
In his tenure at Morses Club so far, Easson was involved in the company's acquisition of 19 other home collected credit lenders, the company said.
Shares in Morses Club were down 3.9% on Wednesday morning at 134.50 pence.
