Ousted BP chair Manifold hires law firm Mishcon de Reya, source says

LONDON, May 27 (Reuters) - Albert Manifold hired ​law firm ‌Mishcon de Reya to represent ⁠him after his ⁠ouster as BP chairman ​on Tuesday, according to a source familiar with the situation.

The source ​did ‌not say in what way the law firm would act for Manifold. Manifold has said ​he disputed BP's version of ‌events, which cited conduct and governance issues as reasons ‌for his dismissal, and that he would not let this "false narrative" ​go unchallenged. Mishcon, which did not immediately respond ‌to a request for comment, was also hired by climate activist ⁠group ⁠Follow This in its dispute ‌with BP over the energy firm ​excluding ​its resolution from the ‌agenda at April's annual general meeting.
