MS International secures further USD34 million contract with US Navy

Fri, 03rd Oct 2025 12:00

(Alliance News) - MS International PLC on Wednesday said its South Carolina, US-based subsidiary MSI-Defence Systems US LLC has won a further contract with the US Navy.

The Doncaster, Yorkshire-based defence equipment manufacturer said the contract was awarded on a sole source basis for the continued supply of MK88 MOD4 MSI-DS stabilised gun mounts.

The contracts begin with immediate effect, with gun mounts and associated maintenance assist modules and on board repair parts providing a total contract value of USD34.5 million.

Delivery of equipment is due no later than December 30, 2026.

"Earlier communications with shareholders indicated that MSI was hoping for a longer term contract with NAVSEA," MS International said. "NAVSEA has decided that, for the time being, it is more efficient and productive to award contracts annually in the future, which also gives them extra flexibility. Relationships between the two organisations remain extremely good and we are confident of our ability to continue to work together in the longer term."

MSI-Defence Systems US also secured a contract amendment with the US Navy regarding an existing deal for the supply of MSI-DS electro-optical sight systems, as part of the company's MSI-DS 30 millimetre weapon systems.

The amendment is for a further USD7.6 million, and delivery of all equipment is scheduled for no later than November 30, 2026.

Shares in MS International were up 0.1% at 1,446.50 pence in London on Friday morning. The stock has risen 40% over the past year.
